Denver Broncos 2017 Free Agents Signees

Here’s the list of Players the Broncos signed in 2017 Free Agency:

Player Position Years Previous Team Contract My Comment Status
Ron Leary OL 4 Dallas Caowboys 35 M in 4 yrs / 20 Million gtuaranteed He’s one of the offesinve guards that could be targeted by the Broncos. He’s a powerful blocker that will look for a payday a part from a starting job. Still the Broncos could be scared because Stephenson had the same backup role in Kansas City the in 2015 and the Broncos got him to be a starter. That backfired. UFA
Menelik Watson RT 4 Oakland Raiders 18,3 Million in 3 years I ‘m guilty of not really dig into this connection with new Broncos QB coach and former Raiders OC Bill Musgrave. I think that Watson was the “best of the rest” way of getting a RT and that he will compete with Schofield for the RT spot: Stephenson and Sambrailo for the LT spot. Broncos Oline does not look much better than yesterday night but there is more competition and more power, barring injuries that are what actually did not allow Watson to play football seldomly in his 4 years stint with the Raiders. Hope the guaranteed part of the money is max 10 millions. More than that it will make this signing a desperation move and good teams doesn’t do that. UFA
Domata Peko DL 11 Cincinnati Bengals 7,5 Million in 2 years Brother of the actual NT the Broncos signed as UDFA in 2016: Kyle Peko. He played very well in 2015. He could be a rotational player and he’s a player that Vance Joseph knows very well from his days in Cincinnati. March 11th UPDATE: He signed with the Broncos. UFA
Zach Kerr DL 3 Indianpolis Colts 2y ???? A big and large run stuffer that will be in rotation at NT and DE in obvious run situations. Has the power and explosion UFA
Kasim Edebali OLB 3 New Orleans Saints 1y ???? He’s an insurance polici in Case Dakato Watson would leave I think, he has the size the Broncos looks for in pass rushing OLB and brings some depth at the position but I don’t think he’ll be a lock to make the team at the end of training camp. UFA
