Around NFL week 8 picks v1.0

Tampa Bay @ Minnesota –> close. Minnesota has better record and could be an overall better team than Tampa. On top of these thoughts, Minnesota is playing as home team. Anyhow Tampa played and lost 3 out of 4 losses that stand in its record. It will all come down on if Tampa will be able to contain Peterson that just had a huge game in week 7. I guess Tampa somehow will prevail and win this game. Gut feeling: Tampa Bay.

New England @ St. Louis –> close. St. Louis has a good defense and the Patriots already had plenty of work by winning against a good Jets defense at home in week 7. Brady didn’t look particularly impressive since the win against the Broncos and especially against the Jets (even though he engineered the winning drive in OT). At the end I just don’t see enough offense on the Rams side to be able to score enough points against New England. Gut feeling: New England.

Jacksonville @ Green Bay –> Green Bay. Jacksonville is going to play in the cold Wisconsin against a top five NFL team. Green Bay is back on track and will be focused. No upset here. Green Bay will win.

Carolina @ Chicago –> Chicago. Chicago is playing up to its full potential. And its full potential is the one of a top 10 NFL team. Cam Newton could come up huge for a week and so this game could be closer than what it looks like now, but still Chicago offense is capable to score enough to improve the team standing for one more week. If Newton will be owned by a very good Bear defense, as it looks probable right now, this game could be a one side game.

San Diego @ Cleveland –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: San Diego.

Seattle @ Detroit –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: Detroit.

Atlanta @ Philadelphia –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: Atlanta.

Miami @ New York Jets –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: New York.

Washington @ Pittsburg –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: Washington.

Indianapolis @ Tennessee –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: Tennessee.

Oakland @ Kansas City –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: Kansas City.

New York Giants @ Dallas –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: New York.

New Orleans @ Denver –> close. This game will be a severe test for the Broncos. They have to come up with a win to capitalize the huge conference win against the Charhers in week 6. The team had had one week more of preparation for this showdown. Brees is an elite Qb and NO offense is as good as a top NFL offense. The interesting stat is that they’re not achieving anything with the running game and so it looks like a good matchup for Denver which should worry only about the passing game (and rightfully so). Still I don’t have a clear feeling that the Broncos will be ready to step up and be a solid team winning two in a row against good opponents. Gut feeling: New Orleans.

San Francisco @ Arizona –> close. To be determined in the next days. Gut feeling: San Francisco.
